Cancer Care
Paraguay faces limited resources and a cancer control demand which will only increase in quantity and complexity in the coming years. The main challenges include: fragmented and insufficient health care services, prevention resources, cancer diagnosis, treatment, and shortage of qualified medical professionals.
In colaboration with actors of maximum international and national prestige, we work on a proyect that proposes a sistematic and comprehensive solution to improve cancer care in our country.
The proposal offers a holistic approach dor the patient,that deals with all the aspects of the disase and will include medial oncology specialties, radiotherapy, surgical oncology, hematology, etc., likewise extensive laboratory services, surgical pathology and radiology. Psychosocial care units will be included, as well as supportive and palliative care and rehabilitation. It will be equipped with state-of-the-art sanitary technology.
The peoposal also includes the creation of a Knowledge Hub as an integral part of the center. This center will have the function of generate advance medical knowledge through clinical research, produce health prevention and information programs, develop clinical guidelines for the most common types of cancer, develop cancer quality registries and train medical professionals.
